Kanmei are peaceful spirits, while akana wander in perpetuity. Yet legend tells of a spirit of both worlds—akana and kanmei—at odds with himself. The spirit enjoyed eternal bliss until, spurned by his father, he sought vengeance. Now the Banished Son searches among the slain for worthy warriors with whom to spar, preparing for his greatest fight yet.
